What are Graded Comics?

" Graded Comics " are comic books that have been evaluated and graded by professionals for their condition and quality, usually using a scale of 0.5 (poor) to 10.0 (perfect). After grading, the comics are often sealed in special protective sleeves to preserve their condition. This grading process helps collectors objectively assess the value and rarity of a comic.

CGC Comics

CGC stands for "Certified Guaranty Company" and is one of the most well-known and recognized companies for grading comics. When a comic is labeled "CGC graded," it means that it has been professionally inspected and graded for condition by that company. After grading, CGC seals the comic in a special, protective plastic sleeve that also displays the grade. CBCS stands for "Comic Book Certification Service" and is another reputable company in the comic book grading world. Like CGC, CBCS also offers professional grades for comic books. A "CBCS graded" comic has been graded for condition by the company's experts and then encapsulated in a secure, sealed plastic sleeve to preserve the condition. This sleeve visibly displays the assigned grade. Many collectors value the integrity and reliability of the CBCS grading system when it comes to objectively determining the condition and value of their comic books.
