" Graded Comics " are comic books that have been evaluated and graded by professionals for their condition and quality, usually using a scale of 0.5 (poor) to 10.0 (perfect). After grading, the comics are often sealed in special protective sleeves to preserve their condition. This grading process helps collectors objectively assess the value and rarity of a comic.

CGC stands for "Certified Guaranty Company" and is one of the most well-known and recognized companies for grading comics. When a comic is labeled "CGC graded," it means that it has been professionally inspected and graded for condition by that company. After grading, CGC seals the comic in a special, protective plastic sleeve that also displays the grade. The CGC grading system gives collectors and dealers a reliable measure of a comic's condition and value.

CBCS stands for "Comic Book Certification Service" and is another reputable company in the comic book grading world. Like CGC, CBCS also offers professional grades for comic books. A "CBCS graded" comic has been graded for condition by the company's experts and then encapsulated in a secure, sealed plastic sleeve to preserve the condition. This sleeve visibly displays the assigned grade. Many collectors value the integrity and reliability of the CBCS grading system when it comes to objectively determining the condition and value of their comic books.

1956 -1969
After the Second World War, the demand for comics fell sharply. Controversy also arose over alleged links between youth crime and comics. Then, when comic books were regulated by the Comics Code Authority in 1954, the industry regained momentum and publishers began reintroducing superhero stories, such as The Flash in Showcase #4. This era was marked by artistic advancement and the widespread success of mainstream American comics.
Silver Age Comics1970-1985
The era ended with the retirement of many notable writers of the time. They were replaced by a new, younger generation. Just like in the Silver Age, the mainstay of the industry was the traditional superhero titles. However, darker plot elements and socially relevant topics such as racism were more strongly addressed in the Bronze Age. For example, in the April 1970 issue, Green Lantern was described as someone faced with poverty and self-doubt.
Bronze Age Comics1985 - today
Also known as the Dark Age, as this was the time period when comics with serious content, such as Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, gained popularity. This era was marked by the redesign of many comic book characters and the flourishing of smaller publishing houses. In addition, X-Men became one of the most famous titles in the comic book universe.
