1956 -1969
After the Second World War, the demand for comics fell sharply.
In addition, controversy arose over alleged links between
Juvenile Delinquency and Comics. Then in 1954 comic books about the comics
Code Authority, the industry regained momentum
and publishers began reintroducing superhero stories, such as The Flash in Showcase #4. This era was marked by artistic advancement and the widespread success of mainstream American comics.
1970-1985
The era ended with the retirement of many respected ones
writers of the time. These were replaced by a new, younger one Generation. As in the Silver Age, the mainstay of the industry was the traditional superhero title. However, they became darker in the Bronze Age. Action elements and socially relevant topics, such as racism, stronger themed. For example, Green Lantern was featured in the April issue Described in 1970 as someone faced with poverty and self-doubt.
1985 - today
Also known as the Dark Age because of the time period in which comics featuredserious content, such as Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, gained popularity. This era was marked by the redesign of many comic book characters and the flourishing of smaller publishers. Also, X-Men became one of the most famous titles in the comic universe.
