Who is Wolverine?

James Howlett had a difficult youth and quickly became a criminal. He had special abilities, including bone claws growing from the back of his hand. He was also very strong and had supernaturally keen senses. After a troubled past, he retreats to the mountains and lives in the wilderness with a pack of wolves. However, he is then captured and taken to a circus. He manages to escape and eventually returns to civilization. Wolverine is then inducted into the military of Canada during World War I. After the war, he joins the X-Men where he is manipulated by memory implants. He is then kidnapped by the Weapon X program and experimented on, his bone claws become metallic. However, he manages to escape and regain his humanity.
